Cancelled: 9 Mile Music Festival 2018

The announcement for the 25th Anniversary of 9 Mile Music Festival in Miami, which was published many months ago on the official website, promised a major event:

Our upcoming 25th anniversary festival will be our largest, most exciting, and most authentic experience yet from 9 Mile Music Festival. Returning to our roots as the original south-Floridian Reggae Festival, 9 Mile Music Festival is ready to bring artists from around the globe from the old school to the new to spread our message of positivity, unity, and one-ness.  In 2018 we are elevating the experience, refocusing our line-up, and taking it back to our roots. We are excited to be on this journey and welcome your feedback!

Till today, there was no date or artist announcement for the 2018 edition, which usually takes place in February/March. But today the bad news was published on the official 9 Mile Music Festival Facebook page:

To our Friends, Family, Fans and the lovely city of Miami:

After much thought and deliberation, it has been decided that the 9 Mile Music Festival will be taking a break in 2018.

We have been enjoying an exceptional run in the last years, with some incredible talent on the stages, and the best of friends, family and good vibes from the crowds.

Despite the festival not happening this year, our annual food drive is still in effect, and we urge our fans and all music lovers alike to consider the less fortunate, and to donate the traditional 4 canned goods at Curley’s House, located at 6025 NW 6th court, Miami, FL. Curley’s House accepts all kinds of canned or non perishable goods, and have been an amazing help to the community throughout the years.

Thank you for all of your love an support!

One Love, Team 9 Mile
